limestone coast leaders

Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast (RDALC) are developing and implementing a Regional Leadership Development Program (RLDP), thanks to State Government funding.
The aim is to deliver a place-based program that strengthens leadership in our community. Limestone Coast Leaders will see current and future leaders in the Limestone Coast enhance their skills, form stronger community connections, and create a diverse leadership network across the region.

Gap Analysis

As part of the planning process, we put together a regional leadership gap analysis which will inform and support the design and implementation of our leadership development program. Engagement activities undertaken to inform the gap analysis included a community workshop, one-on-one stakeholder conversations and targeted surveys.

You can read the report here.

Emerging Leaders
The focus of the Emerging Leaders program will be on the development of a pipeline of future leaders who represent the diversity of the people who live and work here. Based on the successful Limestone Coast Leadership Program, this program will consist of a series of workshops with delivery rotated across the 7 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the Limestone Coast. The program will be fully designed as a part of the co-design process led by the Steering Committee.

It is expected that on completion of this program participants will have increased confidence in taking on leadership roles within the community.

Existing Leaders
Existing Leaders is a network of leaders within the Limestone Coast, including current community leaders as well as those who have completed formal leadership training (such as the Limestone Coast Leadership Program).

The aim of this network is to reinforce leadership skills and knowledge, to foster connections with other leaders and to continue to build the capacity of our current leaders.
