Regional Drought Resilience Plan

Limestone Coast

This project is jointly funded through Australian Government's Future Drought Fund and the Government of South Australia.

Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast (RDALC), Limestone Coast Landscape Board (LCLB) and Limestone Coast Local Government Association (LCLGA) have partnered with WSP to develop the Limestone Coast Drought Resilience Plan (the Plan).

The plan will be the foundation for community conversations to act in preparation for drought and other significant events. It will assist our region to prepare and strengthen our ability to survive and recover quickly from droughts. It will also highlight opportunities for diversification and future growth in the region as actions that are eligible for future Government funding.

A pillar of the plan’s development is partnership and co-design, leveraging the existing knowledge, social and environmental factors that make the Limestone Coast unique. As such, the project will be looking to engage widely with traditional owners, primary produces, natural resource managers, supply chains and their support industries.
