Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast (RDALC) has officially commenced its role as the Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) for the Limestone Coast, marking an exciting new chapter for one of South Australia’s most recognised visitor destinations.
From 1 July, RDALC assumed responsibility for the Regional Tourism Office, working closely with the Limestone Coast Local Government Association (LCLGA), local councils, tourism operators and industry partners to ensure a seamless transition.
Chair of RDALC, Robyn Verrall, said the organisation was committed to building on the strong foundations established over many years.
“Tourism is one of the Limestone Coast’s most important economic drivers, supporting local businesses, creating jobs and showcasing everything that makes our region such a remarkable place to visit.”
“This transition is not about starting again. It is about continuing the outstanding work already undertaken and bringing regional development and tourism together to create even greater opportunities for our communities and visitor economy.”
RDALC will continue working collaboratively with local government, industry, businesses and stakeholders to strengthen the region’s visitor economy while supporting investment, events, destination marketing and industry development.
“Our priority is to work in partnership with everyone who has contributed to the success of tourism in the Limestone Coast. We thank the Limestone Coast Local Government Association, our tourism operators and the many people who have helped shape our region’s tourism story.”
“Together, we will continue to promote the Limestone Coast as a destination of choice while ensuring tourism supports broader regional growth, stronger communities and new economic opportunities.”
RDALC recognises that successful tourism relies on collaboration and looks forward to continuing strong relationships with industry, councils, Tourism Industry Council South Australia, the South Australian Tourism Commission and local businesses across the region.
“The Limestone Coast has a remarkable story to tell. Together, we will continue to invite visitors to Unearth Our Treasures while growing a visitor economy that benefits every community across our region.”
