Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Gregory Lawrence as Chief Executive Officer. Mr Lawrence commenced in the role on Monday 18 May 2026.

Chair Robyn Verrall said Mr Lawrence brings extensive experience in regional economic development, investment attraction and stakeholder engagement, making him well positioned to lead the organisation into its next phase.

“Greg is a highly experienced regional leader who understands the complexities and opportunities within regional communities,” Ms Verrall said.

“With more than two decades of experience across local government and economic development, he has demonstrated a strong ability to deliver outcomes, attract investment and work collaboratively across all levels of government and industry.”

Mr Lawrence has held senior roles across Australia and New Zealand and most recently led economic and community development initiatives at Maranoa Regional Council. Ms. Verrall said his appointment comes at an important time for the Limestone Coast.

“Our region is facing both significant opportunities and challenges, particularly in workforce, housing, infrastructure and economic diversification,” she said.

“Greg’s leadership will strengthen our advocacy and ensure we continue to position the Limestone Coast as a region of opportunity, innovation and growth.”

Mr Lawrence said he is looking forward to working with stakeholders across the region.

“The Limestone Coast is a region with strong foundations and enormous potential. I am excited to work alongside the Board, local government, industry and community to support sustainable growth and deliver outcomes that benefit the region,” he said.

Mr Lawrence relocated to South Australia with his wife and commenced in the role on Monday 18 May 2026.
