Promoted From Within

This week, Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast (RDALC) welcomes a new CEO who is no stranger to the organisation. Lauren Oxlade has been Manager Investment & Infrastructure at RDALC since December 2022 and welcomes the opportunity to take on the new role.

Prior to joining RDALC, Ms Oxlade spent almost 8 years at Wattle Range Council in the Engineering Department. She brings extensive experience in State Government, as well as volunteer roles in the community.

RDALC Chair, Evan Flint said that after an independent recruitment process, the Board’s decision was unanimous.

“Lauren brings extensive networks across the region, with experience in Local Government and State Government, as well as natural resource management. She has a delivery focus and a commitment to communication both with the Board and our stakeholders” said Mr Flint.

RDALC currently has three areas of focus, supporting small businesses, encouraging investment and growing the leaders of tomorrow. Looking forward to building on a solid foundation, Ms Oxlade says:
“For me it is the perfect first CEO position as I have the opportunity to be more strategic and advocate for the region, while still staying connected to the delivery of outcomes. I believe in the work that we do; we are a small organisation and I am happy to chip in when the team is working together and needs another set of hands.”

The promotion leaves a gap in staffing, and recruitment will commence this week for a Manager of Program Delivery and a part time Communications Officer.
“We have a great team and look forward to finding the right people to fill the vacancies” said Ms Oxlade.
